Combining the skills of shotgun shooting, rifle target shooting, pistol shooting and field archery with crossbows, all based on a country sports theme. This action-packed day will be an experience to remember, all based on one of the best shooting grounds in Scotland, set in the magnificent scenery of the Galloway Hills, south west Scotland.
No shooting experience?
Don’t worry, you will be instructed by fully qualified APSI shooting instructors and your day will start with a comprehensive briefing in gun handling, safety before instruction on the shooting range.
Top Shot: Stag party shooting experience itinerary
Arrive: 09.30am: Tea / coffee & shortbread on arrival – Welcome, introductions and safety briefing.
Clay Pigeon Shooting (50 shots per person): Off range instruction will be provided including eye dominance, gun mount, shooting stance, safety, shotgun familiarisation and shooting method. After, head onto the shooting range to test your skills using modern Over and Under shotguns at simulated targets including driven pheasants, duck, bolting rabbit and pigeons.
Rifle Shooting (50 shots per person): Instruction will be provided on our rifle range on silhouette targets including rabbit, fox and deer over various distances. State of the art pre-charged air rifles, equipment and safety protection are provided plus Firebird reactive targets for some added excitement. On impact, the target ignites in order to reflect a direct hit producing a significant pyrotechnic reaction and loud report.
Pistol Shooting (20 shots per person): speed shooting will test your nerve under pressure.
Crossbow Shooting (20 shots per person): Deer, fox and wild boar targets set in the forest provide a unique experience to try field archery using the latest crossbows and equipment.
The ‘End of the Shoot Shoot’ (10 shots per person): The Stag party shooting experience concludes with our exciting shoot off!
Shoot Lunch: BBQ, Soup & Sandwiches or our fabulous ‘Shoot Lunch’ including a delicious Venison Casserole and a selection of Galloway Cheeses with biscuits (additional £20.00pp).
Finish: 5pm approx – Prize giving
